Concept shows how BlackBerry handsets should look like

There are a lot of people out there who believe that BlackBerry is a sinking ship, after losing a lot of market shares to the likes of Samsung and Apple. This makes us wonder if things could have been different if the Canadian firm designed their smartphones differently. Speaking of a different design, CrackBerry forum member Ziro1 has come up with two beautiful designs, showing a touchscreen and QWERTY-sporting BlackBerry handsets. The question is, could the Canadian phone maker have sold more handsets if they looked like this? Here are images of the concept designs: The designer put these designs together by gathering information from other CrackBerry forum members who are also diehard BlackBerry fans. Should BlackBerry do the same and give their fans what they want? Will this allow the Canadian firm to sell more phones? Would you buy a BlackBerry if it looked like these concepts? Let us know what you think through a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.

However, it seems BlackBerry has decided to go a different direction with its entry-level offerings, as it will be launching the affordable Z3 in Indonesia in May. The device is part of BlackBerry’s deal with Foxconn, wherein the Canadian firm provides the software and marketing while the Chinese factory chain handles manufacturing and storage. UK teen gets stuck in the drain for trying to rescue her BlackBerry

16 year-old Astol College student, Ella Birchenough, got stuck in a drain after trying to rescue her BlackBerry handset, SWNS reports. Speaking to the news site, Ella said, “I was talking to somebody and I went to put my phone in my pocket and it fell down the drain. “I thought to myself ‘I’m not leaving this’ and I jumped down to get it. “I wasn’t really even stuck, I just need somebody to help lift me out but my mum got all panicky. “When they pulled me out I ran straight home and jumped in the bath. I think it was just water but I wasn’t taking any chances. “I was just laughing the whole time, I have seen the funny side of it. You just have to laugh along with it. “There have been a few nasty comments about me being fat which isn’t nice but I’m trying not to take it to heart.” Joanne, Ella’s mother, said, “I was really worried. My face went white and I was in a panic. “I was scared she might sink. “I ran out the house, turned the corner – but a

QWERTY-sporting BlackBerry Kopi leaked in new photos

Back in March, we came across leaked photos, showing the casing of the rumoured QWERTY-sporting BlackBerry Kopi. Now we’ve come across leaked photos showing the finished product, courtesy of Viet-speaking Techrum. Here are the photos: In terms of design, the Kopi bears a lot of similarities to the Q5. It sports a 3.2-inch screen, a QWERTY keyboard, and a 2100mAh battery. We’re still not sure on the rest of the specs, but from the looks of things this looks like a new pocket-friendly handset. Although these specs are far from exciting, a budget handset is always welcome. We are yet to find out when the Canadian phone maker plans to lift the lid on this new entry-level smartphone. But since these leaked photos show us the finished product, we reckon it’ll be soon. Interested in the BlackBerry Kopi? Let us know through a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.
