We ve learned from previous reports that BlackBerry is rumoured to be cooking up a number of Android-powered smartphones. According to a new report, the Canadian phone maker isn t just testing Google s open source operating system on new hardware, but on existing hardware as well. Morgan Stanley says BlackBerry Passport and Classic are tough to sell

Canadian phone maker BlackBerry has its goal set on selling 2 to 3 million units of the BlackBerry Passport and Classic in FY16. However, according to analysts, the company is finding it hard to sell the smartphones, only selling a total of 8,000 units combined. The news comes to us courtesy of Benzinga.com. It reports: Based on research and conversations, Morgan Stanley said that VARs and resellers are finding BlackBerry is a tough sell, even for enterprise customers. On the phone, Morgan Stanley said that as many as 8,000 Classic and Passport phones have been sold, well below the 2-3 million needed in FY16. Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley said that even if BlackBerry is able to stem the declines in its enterprise unit, the $500 million in software revenue is unlikely. BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 update coming on February 19?

The BlackBerry Passport and the BlackBerry Classic run BlackBerry OS 10.3.1. So if you own a BlackBerry device running BlackBerry 10 such as the Z3, Z10, Z30, Q10, or Q5, you must be wondering when the latest version of the operating system will be rolling out to your smartphone. According to a report, the update will be rolling out on the 19th of February. The news comes to us courtesy of N4BB. BlackBerry was expected to roll out the update last month, but the Canadian phone maker pushed the update back for later this month. So when this month? According to site s source, the 10.3.1 update will be available globally on the 19th of February. The site adds that BlackBerry supposedly was planning to roll out the update last week, but it reportedly had issues with the update accidentally wiping the entire device.
