Motorola Moto X 4th Gen rumoured to feature fingerprint scanner

Almost every flagship these days features a fingerprint scanner. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has one, and the Apple iPhone 6S comes with one. Unfortunately, this isn t the case with Motorola s high-end devices. Neither the Motorola Moto X Play, the Motorola Moto X Force, or the Motorola Moto X Style offer the feature, which is ironic since Motorola s earlier high-end devices were one of the first to offer the feature. The devices include the Motorola ATRIX and Motorola ATRIX 2. So does this mean that Motorola has given up on the feature? If a tweet is to be believed, this will no longer be the case with the upcoming Motorola Moto X 4th Gen. Fingerprint scanner to be on board the Motorola Moto X 4th Gen? The tweet comes from @Ricciolo1, a known tech journalist. On Twitter, he suggests that the Motorola Moto X 4th Gen would feature a fingerprint scanner. He tells us to PLACE your FINGER on a powerful Motorola-made device. He also says that it is coming soon. Here s the tweet: PLACE your FING

Motorola Moto X 4th Gen to feature internal heat pipe?

Processors found under the hood of today s smartphones keep getting faster and faster. The problem with this is, the more clock speed results in more overheating issues, which is exactly what the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (CPU on board smartphones such as the Sony XPERIA Z5 Premium) is suffering from. So what s the solution? It looks like more manufacturers are making use of internal heat pipes to resolve this overheating issue, as an alleged Motorola Moto X 4th Gen prototype is shown making use of the feature. Internal heat pipe on board Motorola Moto X 4th gen prototype? The photo above, leaked on Chinese-speaking TechWeb, allegedly shows the internals of a Motorola Moto X 4th Gen prototype, sporting a heat pipe. The Motorola Moto X 4th Gen is not expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, but the new Snapdragon 820 SoC. If the photo really does show a Moto X 4th Gen prototype, this could only mean one thing the Snapdragon 820 SoC also suffers from overheating issues.

Last week, photos of what was claimed to be the Motorola Moto x 3rd Gen surfaced on the internet. Now, test units have entered into India as test units under the code name Calisto. The screenshot of the listing seen above comes from Zauba, India s import/export database. According to the listing, the Motorola Calisto is a GSM mobile phone that will be used for testing purpose.
