Pocket-friendly Google Nexus 6 may sport 64-bit CPU

Chinese-speaking Economic Daily reports, that the entry-level or mid-range Google Nexus 6 will sport MediaTek’s 64-bit processor. Sadly, it failed to mention whether the CPU would be 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MT6732 processor or the 64-bit 2GHz octa-core MT6752 processor. Although these CPUs pack quite a punch, they were not designed for high-end devices. Earlier reports suggested that the search giant’s next Nexus would cost around £60. So why make the Nexus 6 cheaper than its predecessor? Since 2010, Google has not made an effort to try and penetrate the Chinese market, but is said to have “always wanted to return to the local market.” Ensuring that their next smartphone would be more pocket-friendly thanks to MediaTek, Google may just have another shot at the Chinese smartphone market. The entry-level to mid-range Nexus 6 is rumoured for a Q2 release. According to a past report, a Nexus 6 flagship will also be launched sometime this year. Would you be interested in a pocket-

The Samsung Galaxy S5 was just launched earlier this month and the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be officially unveiled in a few months. Despite this, we’re already hearing about their successors the Galaxy S6 and Note 5. According to a new rumour, the two devices will sport flexible screens. The news comes to us courtesy of Chinese-speaking Ledwn. According to the site, Samsung Display has halted investments in its A3 plant, a plant that focuses on flexible screen production. But, since there is now growing interest in the said displays and pressure from the Korean tech giant’s partners (partners who are threatening to supply their equipment to other firms if Samsung doesn’t use them), Samsung has decided to continue building the A3 plant. According to reports, the A3 plant will be fully operational from at least November to December of this year. Samsung is reportedly rushing to get the factory operational, since the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 will sport the flexible screens.

Apple iPhone 6 to sport curved glass and curved edges?

Previous reports have suggested that Apple is planning to launch the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet suppliers have dubbed the iPhone Air. Leaks have also shown that the next iPhone will sport the same form factor as its predecessor, but a new report is saying that the iPhone 6’s design will involve curves. The news comes to us courtesy of Japanese-speaking Mac Otakara. According to the blog, the iPhone 6 will sport curved edges, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Given this description, we’re guessing the next iPhone will look a lot like the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS when it comes to shape. Mac Otakara adds that the iPhone 6 may sport a curved glass. However, it isn’t as glamorous as one would think. The curved glass won’t be like the curved glass on the LG G Flex or Samsung Galaxy Round. Instead, it will be curved in a way to fit the curved chassis. Of course, since Apple is yet to reveal any information on the iPhone 6, take this with a pinch of sa
