Samsung reportedly bagged a deal with Apple to produce 75% of the A9 chip for the iPhone 6S

Past reports have said that the Korean tech giant would produce 50% of the A9 chip for the Apple iPhone 6S and Apple iPhone 6S Plus. Before that, reports said that Samsung would be responsible for 70% of the CPUs. Now a new report is saying that Samsung has bagged a deal with Apple to make 75% of the next iPhones processor. This is according to Maeil Business Newspaper. According to the publication anonymous source in the semiconductor industry, Samsung will produce 75% of the A9 chip in its factory in Austin, Texas. Although the newspaper did not mention who would be responsible for the remaining 25% of the A9 s production, it s a dead cert that one of these manufactures would be TSMC.
