Samsung reportedly bagged a deal with Apple to produce 75% of the A9 chip for the iPhone 6S

Despite Apple and Samsung slugging it out in court over patents, it seems its still business as usual between the two tech giants. Past reports have said that the Korean tech giant would produce 50% of the A9 chip for the Apple iPhone 6S and Apple iPhone 6S Plus. Before that, reports said that Samsung would be responsible for 70% of the CPUs. Now a new report is saying that Samsung has bagged a deal with Apple to make 75% of the next iPhones processor. This is according to Maeil Business Newspaper. According to the publication anonymous source in the semiconductor industry, Samsung will produce 75% of the A9 chip in its factory in Austin, Texas. Although the newspaper did not mention who would be responsible for the remaining 25% of the A9 s production, it s a dead cert that one of these manufactures would be TSMC.
