Apple iPhone 6 to come in 128GB variant?

Apple fans have been waiting for an iPhone that offers 128GB of internal storage. They may just get what they ve been asking for with the iPhone 6, if leaked Toshiba component records are to be believed. This alleged component record (see below) for Toshiba s 128GB NAND Flash storage was leaked by Chinese-speaking GeekBar. Although the document does say that this is a 128GB storage, it wasn t mentioned if this component is for the 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 6 or the 5.5-inch Apple iPhone 6L. According to past reports, the iPhone 6L will be the premium version of the next iPhone, so we re guessing this storage option is for the iPhone phablet. JP Morgan analysts, according to TaipeiTimes, are saying that only high-end variants of the Apple iPhone 6, posibly 128GB storage options, will sport sapphire glass. The analsyts said, Sapphire covers will also be restricted to high-end iPhones, possibly the 128GB [gigabyte] ones. Although only a the high-end models will sport sapphire-coated glass, JP Morgan analysts Narci Chang , J.J. Park, and Jay Kwon said, We believe this will mark only the beginning of sapphire smartphone cover adoption. The analysts say that currently sapphire cover output will be low. They said, Due to various challenges related to the new cover material, we believe the production output for sapphire covers will be low. Sapphire ingot yield rates could be as low as below 50 percent for this size, and finished sapphire smartphone covers may cost as much as US$40 to US$45 versus below US$10 for finished Gorilla glass.
