You can now pre-order the Motorola Moto X Force in the UK


We learned from a previous report that Motorola was planning to launch the Droid Turbo 2 in Europe as the  Motorola Moto X Force. Now, the device is available for pre-order in the UK. Pre-order now Handtec and Carphone Warehouse are the two retailers who have put the Motorola Moto X Force up for pre-order. Handtec is asking £497.99 (VAT included) for a SIM free version of the device, while Carphone Warehouse is asking £529.99 (VAT included). Carphone Warehouse is also offering the device on monthly plans starting at £37.50 a month. Only the black colour option is being offered. Retailers put Motorola Moto X Force up for pre-order in the UK

Earlier, we passed along news that the newly launched Motorola Droid Turbo 2 in the US will be launched as the Motorola Moto X Force in Europe. Now, two retailers have put the device up for pre-order in the UK. Pre-order the Motorola Moto X Force The two retailers in question are Handtec and Carphone Warehouse. Handtec is asking £497.99 (inclusive of VAT) for a SIM free Motorola Moto X Force. Carphone Warehouse is asking £529.99 (inclusive of VAT) for the SIM free version of the device. It is also offering the smartphone on monthly plans starting at £37.50 per month. Both are only offering the black colour option. Buyers will get the device as soon as the 9th of November. Dutch police force reportedly replaces old BlackBerries with Samsung Galaxy S5

Good news for the Korean tech giant, as the Dutch police department reportedly orders 35,000 units of the Samsung Galaxy S5 for their police officers. This is bad news, however, for the Canadian phone maker, as the S5s will be replacing old BlackBerries. The news comes to us courtesy of Dutch-speaking Android Planet. So why the Galaxy S5? According to the site, the smartphone’s fingerprint scanner will help police officers check fingerprints. The police department is reportedly working on their own app that identifies and, if needed, fines individuals. Aside from scanning fingerprints of suspects, the handset’s other capabilities will also help in scanning documents and in questioning suspects. The S5 also offers optimum security with KNOX security suite, which the department welcomes.
