BlackBerry Priv to get Marshmallow treatment next year

We know that the BlackBerry Priv, the Canadian phone maker s new high-end slider, runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), but, now that Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) is out, when will the latest version of Android roll out to the Priv? According to BlackBerry, sometime next year. Marshmallow treatment The news comes to us courtesy of AndroidCentral. In a recent interview with Ron Louks, BlackBerry President of Devices, and in a briefing with Gareth Hurn, BlackBerry Global Director of Device Portfolio Planning, Marshmallow will be rolling out to the Priv sometime in the new year. We know that this is pretty vague, but at least it is something to look forward to. So, until then, keep it here for further announcements. To recap, the BlackBerry Priv sports a 5.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). This works out to a pixel density of 540 ppi.
