According to a tweet, the update will be available for your device sooner than you think. Coming in two weeks? The tweet comes from ROM developer @LlabTooFeR, who is also known for tweeting inside information about anything HTC-related. In his tweet, he claims that units of the HTC One (M8) in Europe will be getting the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update with HTC s Sense 7.0 UI in two weeks. BlackBerry Priv to get Marshmallow treatment next year
We know that the BlackBerry Priv, the Canadian phone maker s new high-end slider, runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), but, now that Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) is out, when will the latest version of Android roll out to the Priv? Unlocked HTC One (M8) in Malaysia gets Lollipop treatment
According to a report, unlocked versions of the HTC One (M8) in Malaysia are beginning to receive the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update. The screenshots you see above come from an unlocked HTC One (M8) in Malaysia, which were sent to SoyaCincau. The update is yet to roll out to the smartphone in the UK. HTC promised that it would start rolling out the Lollipop update to the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) in 90 days after getting the final code from Google. Samsung Galaxy S5 in the UK getting Lollipop treatment
The Korean tech giant has rolled out the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update to units of the Samsung Galaxy S5 across a number of countries in Europe including Poland, Russia, and Spain. This list of European countries now includes the UK, which was first noticed by SamMobile. There are two methods of downloading and installing the Lollipop update for your Galaxy S5. The first is via Kies, which means you re going to have to plug your S5 into your PC and download and install the update via the software. Note that you will have to update Kies to Kies 3 before you can update your S5 to Lollipop. The second is via Samsung’s FOTA (Firmware-Over-The-Air) service.
